Noise & Acoustics
Noise mapping, exposure, acoustic separation and intelligibility—measured in the operating context that makes the result meaningful.
Explore discipline↗MARINE SURVEY & DIAGNOSTIC SPECIALISTS
Independent onboard measurement and diagnostics for safer, quieter, healthier and more reliable vessels.
From noise and vibration to machinery condition, habitability, structural thickness and ballast water performance, we turn complex vessel behaviour into clear engineering decisions.
Survey attendance coordinated across Singapore, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, wider Asia and ports worldwide.

ONE VESSEL. MANY SIGNALS. ONE CLEAR DIAGNOSIS.
Noise, vibration, air quality, thermal conditions and machinery behaviour rarely exist as isolated problems. A connected approach reveals the bigger picture and the right path forward.
Our work supports newbuilding trials, vessel acceptance, in-service troubleshooting, maintenance planning, owner representation and compliance.
SURVEY CONSTELLATION
Five connected disciplines. Nineteen focused survey services. One standard of evidence-led reporting.

TECHNICAL CLARITY. CONFIDENT DECISIONS.
Our reports are designed to be read, questioned and acted upon. We document operating conditions, measurement locations, instrumentation, results, limitations and applicable criteria so stakeholders understand not only what was measured, but what it means for the vessel.
ASIA-PACIFIC · MIDDLE EAST · EUROPE · AFRICA · AMERICAS
We coordinate specialist marine survey and diagnostic attendance across Singapore, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, wider Asia and selected ports worldwide. Shipowners, technical managers, superintendents, ship agents, shipyards and consultants can engage one technical route for noise, vibration, machinery, habitability, UTM and environmental measurement scopes.

An onboard noise survey is most successful when it is treated as part of the trial programme rather than as a final reading exercise. Machinery combinations, vessel speed, loading condition, access, ventilation status and the availability of approved plans can all affect whether the results are complete and defensible.
Read technical insight↗Many vessel specifications and older reports still refer to ISO 6954:2000. ISO now lists that edition as withdrawn and identifies ISO 20283-5:2016 as its replacement. This does not automatically rewrite an existing building contract, but it makes the agreed test basis an important pre-survey decision.
Read technical insight↗A high overall vibration value says that a machine is moving; it does not by itself explain why. Frequency, direction, load, speed, mounting and trend history turn the reading into diagnostic evidence.
